Biography

Florian Gallène Photographer

“Child of the end of the seventies, Florian Gallène synthetised while growing up all what photography possesses in playfulness and precision. Curious and active since his childhood in his father’s lab, this man from Marseilles managed to transform his passion into a profession while keeping his ingenuous spirit.
Necessarily attached to the fun of his time, this hyperactive photographer firstly gravitated around the world of sports and its public. Football and skateboarding in his sharp eye has been the object of his first exhibitions before his entire slide , under the name of Photospectral , into the musical maelstrom enabling him to hang up his photographs at the “International Meetings of Photography” in Arles. His “Night Fever” project devoted to the exhuberant and worldwidly known “skins parties” had its success. His piercing but very discreet eye betrays the lover who forged his pictorial identity with the futurist and excessive eighties.
Today unavoidable among the stages photographers, Gallène collaborates with numerous artists and labels and revisits his classics and influences of the eighties (Helmut Newton, Stanley Kubrick, the comics) without any complex. Also very present in the sunlights’shadows, he became an appreciated artistic partner in many genres: Music, the Arts, Fashion and Lifestyle.”
